D07-4. "MISS ELLEN . . . Selina Bacon mother of John Lewis Fisk taken probably about 1850" was all written on a scrap of paper that is included with the complete leather case. Inside, an ornately embossed plush red velvet pad (that I have never seen before) is opposite the moon-faced lass with her dark hair fluffed out on both sides of her head. Her personal book of testaments, annotated inside: "Ellen S. Bacon book1846" is included with her sixth plate likeness that has old paper seals. All of the spots and dots are on the glass. Holographic brilliance and perfect condition are evident. The maker accentuated Ellen's entire collection of jewelry with gold and added pale red pigments to her ample cheeks. She does have a friendly face for the next collector. "A. H. Clark" was written in a different hand on the bottom paper of her case. I looked in John Craig's compendium and couldn't find an exact match to any of the daguerreians he had listed. $265
