D10-113. THAT'S A CASE . . . The young woman held in one hand while she casually let the other one fall down over the edge of that cloth covered table. Her daguerreotypist had basic fundamentals mastered but in this instance the exposure was to long, causing her flesh tones to be brighter than normal and creating some solarization in her sleeves and collar. The man attempted to compensate for her pasty flesh tones by painting pigments of red on her face and hands. A rather garish finished resealed sixth plate was presented to the lass in a leather case without a hinge. If it wasn't for her piercing eyes and the design on the back of that painted wouldn't chair, I might not have stepped up to buy the image. A few mold spiders are not harmful. $90
