| D12-012. HE MIGHT NOT HAVE BEEN TALL . . . But looking at the mature gentleman 160 years after his archivally taped sixth plate dag was taken still presents him as a vertical fellow. He just seems elongated and rather narrow to me. I think he was whistling while his maker worked to achieve excellence don't you? Unfortunately the plate was slightly small all around and the silver was marred somewhat while the piece was not sealed and permitted to bang around inside a nice whole leather case with a common floral cover and a very unusual pattern on the reverse. Rich oxidation softens most of the scrapes. A couple mold spiders are visible too. $90 |
