| D11-99. YEP, IT'S RED! Her coral necklace was definitely BRIGHTLY painted yet it is the subdued and contrasting faux marble veins in that dark column resting on a wider base that really drew my gaze, after I checked out the coquettish dark eyed subject. Whose prop was that I asked myself once again? I'm still waiting to answer. Until I realize who the maker was let me tell you folks that the miss has a calm presence in her likeness. The long necked lass did angle her wrist precariously but her top hand helped hide the severe angle. No, I'm not going to attempt a replication of that pose. After 20 years of typing captions to entertain you all (and me too sometimes) my wrists aren't so supple. The intricate horizontal Agrarian Design on the covers of her slightly warped sixth plate thermoplastic case is listed as #122 in Krainik. The latch sticks at times too. The embossed burgundy velvet pad inside is brilliant. As you can see there is heavy patina around the retaped subject, who has nice contrast, clarity and depth. An area of mold touches her neck and the neutral cloth backdrop. $445 |
