A CONNECTICUT HOUSE.

Thanks to dirty glass when I bought it, I did not realize this sixth plate image is a very good copy of a larger plate. You can see the edge of it at the top right and at the top left, there are some mat marks on the original. Under the glass, there is printed text, as if the original was leaning against a book or something. A man in a top hat stands in font of the house. There is a note in the case: “Supposedly the house at “Warehouse Pt. Conn? where the Chapman family apparently were early settlers. Tom’s great grandfather was Frederick Chapman. He was born there. The gentleman may be he. The clock (grandfather) came from this house.” I bought this image with some other Chapman family dags as well as a half plate image of a different family house. The dag has a few tiny spots (including a green one) and comes in a half plastic case.
