BROTHER & SISTER, JULY 1844.

I would wager this sixth plate image was made in a makeshift tent studio or another temporary gallery. It has an itinerant feel that adds to its charm. The boys look off to the side while the the girl looks directly out at us. The plates tinting is nice, although I did laugh at how high the boys pants are hiked up. Note the girl clutches the hand of the the younger boy. The image has a nice tone but does have some tiny (tarnish?) spots scattered across the surface. The date is written in ink on the red silk case pad. The case is a whole grecian urn style.
