It’s an unusual pose in this quarter plate ambrotype, that’s for sure. The boys appear very comfortable in their portrait. The younger boy holds a slate. Something is written on it, but it’s a hair out of focus – does it say Mister Jones? Whatever the case, I love the image. It’s in fine condition and once resealed, the dust you see will be gone. It comes in a whole case.
