This is one of those maybe yes, maybe no postmortems. It doesn’t really matter to me because the mother is the real ‘star’ here. That face shows a mother who has been through a lot. The middle 1840s dag is simple but powerful because of the way she almost glares at you through the ages, her freckled face a bit mean, her mouth slightly open and showing a few teeth. Her baby holds what could be a rattle. The image is in good contain with some minor edge tarnish and a few mat marks. There is also some lighter tarnish swirls at the right, in the backdrop. The sixth plate image is resealed, but needs another one (dust under glass) so I will include that with the cost of purchase if you want. The dag comes in a half case.
