Half Plate

DAG SPLENDOR BOSTON STYLE. Although the resealed double silvered half plate likeness does not have typical plate holder clip marks centered at the top and bottom, that were usually seen on most wonderful examples from the studio of Southworth & Hawes, this piece has every other attribute including the faint vertical lines (seen in other S & H images) evident behind the dynamic couple. There is patina inside the double elliptical mat, small green spots lower left and a very faint rub near the gent?s lower hand. Spectacular animation of both subjects and brilliant brightness with extreme reflected depth all don?t disappoint when the black leather Boston style push button case is opened.
