THE YOUNGEST WAS STANDING. Beyond that readers, I am not 100% certain of the relationship of the three subjects who were posed for their archivally sealed half plate daguerreotype that was taken about 1854. My first impression when I removed the separated leather case cover was three siblings. However, maybe the seated pair were husband and wife, very well preserved if this was the scenario and the lad was their son. I do see that the woman wore a wedding band and a second ring that she placed on the outside of her fingerless lace glove. I like the arms crossed pose of her sidekick, who wore a very wide tie. Tarnish touched him more than his companions! There are a few flecks on the deeply reflective silver.
