HOLDING HANDS.

When I saw this sixth plate daguerreotype for sale earlier this month I just had to have it. These kids are so cute! They even look moderately ok to be standing next to each other holding hands. The boy is nearly smiling. It was and remains difficult to photograph children so major props to the unknown daguerreian who captured these two. The image has been resealed by an unknown person.The image has some teeny spots at the center as well as a few on the boy’s face. There are a few mold spiders on the surface too. The dag comes in a half case.
