I Truly Wish…..

…that I knew who painted this fantastic scene of lover’s scorn or anguish?Well, maybe an avid art scholar shall instantly recognize it, then realize the price is very reasonable for a perfect sixth plate daguerreotype of a painting by the famous painter______.   Although I do like the mystery of trying to figure out why the man is so sad. And why isn’t she comforting him more – is she the antagonist? Did he swipe away her hand after this captured moment?  We may never know…  The dag is in fine condition with some scattered dust, and held in a nice case that is likely original.  It has been previously resealed by an unknown, but we will include a proper resealing if desired.
