“ANN ELISA . . . (Foster) Fosdick” was written by two persons on a scrap of paper that is glued inside the cover of a very worn leather case opposite one of the most adorable and animated tiny children I have ever seen. The velvet pad disappeared years ago I suspect. Since the entire original dag plate was revealed when restoration was applied to Ann’s ninth plate, it is a no brainer (well, this time at least) to declare that her remembrance is a second generation. That being written, it was a very fine COPY made so that someone else could enjoy the rambunctious little lass too. This portrait pops! There is a brown stain on her mouth and a white spot near the chair’s arm.
