AN AMAZING RIBBON! I think if this pretty woman would have smiled she would NOT be for sale!! Goodness but I love her bonnet and those decorative strings! The lass was taken on a restored quarter plate circa 1847. She is surrounded by original patina. The reflected depth is deep and the tonality is sensational. The round spot on the right was a stain from the chemistry. The other flotsam and jetsam occurred over time from badly corroded glass. The very worn leather case with a Delicate Roses theme still is intact. The delicate hand tinting was very subtle. The teenager?s smoky pale eyes and full lips were surrounded by freckles. Her slender wedding band indicates that she might have recently been married. There is an effervescent glow surrounding the sitter that no reproduction of mine could ever replicate!
