REALLY NOW . . .

Was that teen’s vest such a beautiful blue when he filled a sixth plate while having his portrait taken or did the operator use “poetic license” to paint it that electrifying hue?  His deep-set dark eyes and small curled lips suggest to me that he might have been a bit impish. I must mention that during the life of the dag, an unknown object slightly abraded the reflective surface on his jacket, near his collar and in a couple place in the dark drop. These minuscule marks are only visible if you look for them. There are mat abrasions along the bottom in the tarnish and some white dots. A small beam of light lit the standing man from the right side and a large reflector can clearly be seen reproduced in those orbs. The bottom of a leather case remains.
