A very pretty youth seated with one arm resting on top of a tablecloth that covered a hidden piece of furniture. There are half a dozen tiny protrusions in the silver across his jacket and trousers along the bottom of the likeness. They are completely secure and always invisible, only being seen in direct light. The mold spiders and dried water line upper left are completely inconsequential. The reflected depth is wonderful. I can’t overstate the elegance of the patron of daguerreotypy. His reflected depth is quite impressive too! The chap’s resealed sixth plate comes in a nice complete leather case.
