“GEORGE DUDLEY!”

That name was written in pencil on a scrap of paper and glued to the reverse of a quarter plate leather case that has a new professionally mended leather spine. Not only did Henry Pollock, the daguerreian in Baltimore, tint this retaped likeness with a deft set of pigments and fine brush work but the natural patina adds so much to Dudley?s countenance. Don?t you also ?adore? his blue hands? I suspect that George visited the gallery located at 155 Baltimore St. circa 1854-1856.
