ONCE AGAIN . . .

I offer a restored sixth plate portrait presenting a child whose dress doesn’t seem to have been tinted, yet as the outstanding piece is rotated, her garment changes colors. That belt around her waist and her frilly collar had white pigment applied to the fabrics and obviously other hues were added elsewhere. A weird line of tarnish cuts across the bottom of the girl?s dress. There are mat scrapes especially on top of those books. The leather case is very worn and an old spine repair keeps the halves together.
