I am referring to the boy’s shirt, on the right side of his retaped sixth plate likeness. The fabric must have reflected the light, which streamed into the studio from the left side, differently since that part of his tunic wasn?t fully bathed in brightness. OR the little rascal could have fallen into a mud puddle on his way to this appointment. Looking at those filthy finger nails suggests to me that the lad was not unaccustomed to dirt and girt! The deep depth is spectacular! Beautiful patina follows the mat?s scalloped outline. Two mold spiders in the darkness are visible. A whole leather case with a rare imprint on both covers completes the presentation.
