I think that this kid meant business. He has quite the determined gaze. In the negative, his pupils are eerie little black dots, making him look menacing. He did move a hair during the exposure. The sixth plate daguerreotype is resealed and comes in a half case. The surface is in nice condition. The subject’s face was lightly tinted and the reflected depth really is remarkable.
