FATHER & SON by Stroud, Sixth Plate Dag

What a handsome, young father and what a tender pose! I really do love the wide opening mat as well. Stamped at the bottom of the mat is ?Wm. Stroud Norristown.? Before opening a daguerreotype studio, Stroud owned a dry goods store. As you can see, he was a good maker. This sixth plate is resealed, although not by us. It comes in a case with a worn spine. The dag has a bit of haze that lessens depending on which angle you look at it. There is some tarnish at the bottom.
