Sixth Plate

“#2.00”! Was that the price of the sixth plate that has been resealed? The number was written in the bottom of the fellow’s separated leather case with a red pencil or a crayon. Was his chest really that expansive or did the subject intentionally puff if out? Looking closer, he was actually a large dude. I really don’t know what created the flowing blemish on his otherwise pristine surface. The best I can offer is left over scum from water. The original glass was very moisture laden. That is not a scratch on the bottom but a weird break in the patina, again possibly caused by excessive wetness. Sharpness of focus surely defined his face and meticulously combed mane!
