RARE AND INTACT! The geometric scroll on the covers of the family?s sixth plate newly sealed thermoplastic case wasn?t so unusual but the exterior hinges, patented by Kinsley & Parker June 1st 1858, aren?t seen often and to find a case with this style unbroken and in nearly mint condition is rather extraordinary! Next to the trio inside was an embossed design on a brilliantly blue velvet pad. The proud parents flanked their apprehensive daughter. Dad had a wary expression while mom seemed more pleased to have been taken. There is a slender band of oxidation. Mold spiders and black marks, which were artifacts from the polishing phase of the plate preparation, are visible.
