THEIR DOMED GLASS . . . Created a bright red glare on the gruff gent’s jacket. I used Photo Shop to alter the brightness in that area. The next collector won’t see any of the red hued residual color (in my scan) when the couple’s complete leather case is opened. Many of those doubled dots are on the glass. The sixth plate retains very old if not the original paper seals. When I was handed their daguerreotype two things leaped out. The fellow’s wicked widow’s peak and his companion’s deadly gaze through pale calculating eyes. They sat side-by-side and were adequately taken. The curvature of the glass created surreal holographic depth. Almost to the point of seeing around behind the pair. There is one vertical tarnish line on the left side of the plate where I made the alterations.
