Sixth Plate

I MIGHT LAUGH! At first glance when I opened their complete leather case, the expressions on the boys’ faces appeared to be comical. Then I studied their archivally prepared sixth plate a little while longer and realized the lad on the right was terrified and his sullen partner was either nearly in tears or preparing to bolt out of that chair, run across the room and into the street screaming at the top of his lungs, “I will NEVER do that again!” He was also holding his breath when the maker exposed the surface. Their clothing couldn’t have been more dissimilar although their poses were almost one in the same. The two most wonderful facts are this; the condition of the dag is as close to pristine as possible and the holographic depth is sensational! The operator’s focus aided in creating a crystal clear reproduction. These lads are worthy of any collection of children’s daguerreotypes.
