FOR THE BONNET. The little miss had excited inky eyes and fingerless mesh gloves that she wore on her hands when her retaped sixth plate portrait was taken. Her stature was upright and she peered away from the lens as she had been instructed. There was also a pleasant arrangement of her lips, drawn into a soft smile. All in all this was a pleasing portrayal of the little miss. I was very interested in that summer bonnet with the large striped ribbon that had been placed on top of the quilted cloth accentuated with yellow tinted fringe. Although her pretty face is slightly blurry, when the worn complete leather case is opened, this is a cracking good likeness. Patina and mold spiders have occurred over time on the image.
