SHOWING SOME FLASH! I hadn?t seen such a dramatic way to display a watch chain prior to owning the gent?s restored sixth size portrait. Looking at that (colorful) (if only his maker would have tinted it true to the hues) vest and the man?s plaid bow tie strongly suggests that he was a fashionable fellow. His beard was neatly trimmed and a fine tooth comb was run through his slicked back full head of hair. The subject had a substantial nose, large eyes and broad lips. He appeared to be quite angular. There is a faint black mark across his chest and a similar squiggly one at three o?clock near the brass mat edge. Odd patina, especially upper right and mold spiders are also evident. The leather case is without a cover.
