A BLACK VIGNETTE! Unfortunately, I can?t tell you all how the unidentified daguerreian created that added dark oval inside the gal?s brass mat. I did wonder though, since all of her clothes were the same dark shade and she had peculiar black pieces of fabric on each wrist, if she was in the first or second stages of mourning the loss of a loved one. The woman?s eyes seemed unfocused when she was posed for her newly sealed sixth sized likeness. As you can see the contrast was exceptional and the reflected depth equally impressive. A couple mat marks and a mold mite are the only flaws you will see when the complete leather case is opened.
