WAS IT REALLY A VASE? That was fancy stemware if the sole purpose was to display posies. The tight-lipped child was oblivious to the added decoration when she posed for her full-length retaped sixth plate. Those were polishing marks across the center of her portrait. Mold mites and other dots are seen on the highly reflective surface. Patina generally follows the double elliptical mat outline. The child?s portrait, kept in an intact leather case, has a beautiful vibrancy that I simply can?t reproduce in pixels. The tinting was certainly a nice added embellishment.
