A VOLUMINOUS SCARF. The older woman had a large mouth, substantial nose and small deep-set darker eyes. She selected a light hued day cap that was neatly tied underneath her broad chin. I can’t previously recall seeing such layers of diaphanous white fabric that were arranged around her neck in another resealed sixth plate daguerreotype. The camera operator added tinting to her face and hands. There is good reflected depth, lovely patina and odd diagonal dark marks on the left side above her shoulder. A nice leather case is apart.
