VERY PINK RIBBONS. The youthful girl wore a wonderful dress accentuated with black velvet borders. She held a small book in her hands and peered in the direction of the camera while her sealed sixth plate was made. The gal had a rounded face covered by freckles. The silver received deep buff strokes that are visible in my scan. Her two-piece leather case was popular in 1847. The reverse has been stained over time. You know readers; there was calmness about the teenager that probably created a pleasant sensation for all those who must have admired her likeness. Rich oxidation follows the mat?s oval shape. None of the marks on the surface are really bothersome.
