OH SO SAD! And a very dangerous composition in my humble opinion. Since the operator couldn?t lower the height of his camera if the child was seated, he instructed mom or dad to place the tyke so she stood on the chair. I bet she screamed when he walked behind her to adjust his metallic head clamp! Such a precarious pose for the kid that was taken on a recently retaped sixth plate. Her striped pantalettes were a bold addition to her attire. Obvious mold spiders, some black specks and a few white ones too are present on the silver. The intact leather case, from the late 1840s has a large rose inside a diamond as the central theme on the cover. The reverse has a bouquet of flowers surround by a wreath of grapes and vines.
