A CUTE KID! At times I succumb to wonderful subjects posed in their resealed sixth plate daguerreotypes. This innocent gal was so compelling when I opened her leather case with a poorly repaired leather hinge that I decided to make the purchase. The brown spots and mold spiders are difficult not to see, however the cunning gal with that neat white lace accenting her crme colored dress overcame those deficiencies. The tablecloth where where she had placed her arm was tinted light red. I think those nearly invisible lines were done during the addition of pigments on the fabric. She wore a pinky ring and oxidation surrounds the young subject.
