QUALITY AND TINTED! Explosive depth and realistic facial hues propel a rather ordinary straightforward chap?s retaped sixth plate well beyond the normal likeness. And look at the neatness of his combed hair. Here was a man who dressed nicely and actually groomed his appearance before sitting in front of the lens. Many mold spiders and small blue and white dots are around the sitter. Along with oxidation and a single thin line on his jacket lower left that was done the day he was taken in the early 1850s. I can?t overstate the superbly polished surface. His leather case is apart.
