Sixth Plate

VERY FANCY! The wealthy gal was rather elegant, the sofa quite regal and the sixth sized brass mat surrounding her was nicely embossed. I like the tilt of her pretty face framed by an elaborate coiffure. The gal?s costume that was accentuated with all those bedazzling jewels gave me the instantaneous impression that there would have been money in her family! The daguerreotypist must have used a small pot of gold to embellish her baubles! He also tinted his attractive subject?s face and hands. All the spots and dots framing the lass around the periphery are part of the oxidation. There is a faint, solitary green dot above the young lady?s head. She was kept in a fine push button leather case.
