“SOPHILA JONES” . . . Was written on a piece of medical tape and adhered to the back of a now separated very worn leather case. The jewelry Ms. Jones wore was tinted with gold by her maker. He illuminated her features with two light sources. One beamed down from upper left and a narrow ?spotlight? was overhead. Curious use of brightness I might add, but very effective to reveal the lady dressed in her finery. Darkness across the top of the retaped sixth plate gave way to a lighter shade of gray in the cloth behind Sophila. There are a couple mold mites, mat marks and more meaningless specks on her mirror that has nice reflected depth.
