HIS EYES . . . Reflected the main light source from the right and a huge reflector on the left. The patron sat steady in front of the camera with his arms folded across his chest. One elbow was anchored upon a book set on top of a low table. It certainly isn?t a common occurrence to see a resealed sixth plate with such sharpness and superb detail across the tonal range, which in this example was exceptional. I would wager that he was an interesting chap and probably was a great storyteller too. His leather case is in two parts. Brief mat scrapes are less noticeable because the patina mostly masks them out!
