The sentiment was glued to the outside of the original cover glass when I bought this stunning sixth plate daguerreotype that was displayed in the bottom of a leather case that is missing the cover. The adorable little lass stood in front of the camera with a very wary expression on her cute face. She held a wicker basket in her left hand. Restoration has been completed using the initial piece of glass. There are mat scrapes on the left and much of the debris is not on the shimmering surface itself.
