AN ?AW SHUCKS? KINDA GUY! Or the poser simply didn?t know what to do with his hands so he simply grabbed the edges of his plaid vest while he sat for his newly sealed sixth size portrait. The piece had been ?man-handled? by the previous owner who left deep mat abrasions around the periphery of the fellow?s portrait. Not even the oxidation hides those marks. Yet even with those distractions, and some mold spiders, plus lots of white dots with some invisible scratches the day the dag was made circa 1846-1847 I still enjoy looking at the man?s self-confident expression! He is kept in a full leather case with a delicate roses theme on both covers.
