A COMPLETE LEATHER CASE! I broke the original tape to reward this female character for her survival by placing new cover glass and an archival sixth sized seal over the brass mat and glass so that the woman could be better enjoyed by us. What a difficult life she must have lived. She sat for her portrait circa 1847 and the natural aging process both for the subject and the silver that held her visage seemed harsh, at first glance. Yet, after communing with the lady . . . she seemed perfectly fine with her likeness. The kaleidoscope of colors is actually rather remarkable!
