FOLK ART ON SILVER! A highly skilled daguerreotypist placed this primitive painting on his finely buffed retaped sixth plate in the late 1840s and proceeded to delicately hand color the entire surface. There are mat marks mostly on the bottom of the work of art. The girl holding her basket of flowers is held in a later separated leather case.
