THIS WAS PERFECTION! And the aging process has left this young woman’s resealed sixth plate absolutely pristine, although at the time she was taken, circa 1855, a teeny crimp was made below her right hand. The lass had perfect comportment while she was seated comfortably in the studio?s padded wooden posing chair. Her lovely lips were pleasantly molded while the lens was uncapped. Those brilliant brown sparkling eyes must have mesmerized her maker. Because when I opened her fine leather later push button case I was smitten myself! Everything about the gal?s daguerreotype remains spectacular!!! The depth really is holographic. The contrast was excellent and the tonality superb. I can also mention that her costume was delightful to see.
