SUPERBLY CRAFTED IN B & W! The operator’s name was stamped along the bottom of the sixth sized double elliptical brass mat: “W. A. Perry & CO”. Perry’s patron visited his gallery at 58 Hanover St. Boston, circa 1846-1847. A “candles and cross” theme was embossed on both sides of the separated leather case. A mold spider is seen lower right in the pretty patina of the retaped likeness.
