There is a card in the bottom the sixth plate case. “Francis E. LeBaron” is written on the front and on the reverse, “Sep. 24 1852 Eugene LeBaron.” The young man’s dag is resealed and the tassels are tinted red. His shirt is a very deep blue from solarization. He holds a case that may be the one his dag comes in now. The spine has been repaired with leather and a new rail. The dag’s condition is fine.
