You can tell by the color on this man’s face that he probably worked outdoors. He did wear his good suit to Upton’s studio though. Craig’s has a Benjamin Franklin Upton working in Bath, ME, Chicago, and St. Anthony, MN. The dates don’t add up for this c 1850 though and it could be a different Upton entirely. This image is very nice though and is resealed. It comes in a whole case.
