Charles Thayer worked in the Boston area when this sixth plate image was made. The dag is nicely tinted, both in the red of the sofa they sit on and on the book-style case the one woman holds. The dag is in fine condition but has a hair of soft focus over all. It is resealed and comes in a whole case.
