I tried to think of what my dad would title this sixth plate image and I think I got it right. I did not get the scan completely correct though. Believe me that the dag looks better in person. The window on the right is so intriguing as it flares on his arm and in the space behind the boy. The sun was so bright that it solarized his coat, cuff, and a few of his fingernails. You’ll note that his hands are abnormally large, suggesting a primitive, perhaps small-town studio. The maker was a pro though and lit the boy well with what he had. Also, the mat is an unusual one, with birds in each corner. Condition is fine aside from a mold spider at the lower left corner. It is resealed and comes in a whole case.Â
