I’ve thought for a while that everyday portraiture from the 1900s – 1920s is quite underrated thus far in the world of photo collecting. This is one example that I’d cite in my thesis for my argument. The 1906 image really just hits all the marks. In addition, there is a ghost (transfer) image of the same little boy on the back of this one, probably from the same session. Certain print types like platinum or bromide would often transfer if left pressed together for a long time. This print measures 4 x 5.5 and the mount 8 x 11.5. It is in fine condition.
