Instead of covering the mom’s head, the maker of this sixth plate ambrotype simply scraped away the emulsion. maybe that’s why the baby looks so grumpy? Older sis looks happy enough though. I love the tinting on the striped socks though. This image is resealed, but I couldn’t get all of the dust off. Other than the dust, it’s in fine condition. It comes on in a half case.
