…man wearing a light colored hat and vest. He seems to be squinting from the blast light coming in directly on his face and hat in particular. But, the maker of this fine sixth plate was able to control the light perfectly with his exposure in order to not make the hat solarized. The image is retains its original seals. A lovely patina of tarnish has formed somewhat psychedelic accents around this beaming, bright man. I do wonder if he was focusing on someone or something with his gaze, or there just too much sunlight for him to be wide eyed. He is held in a metal hinged leather case with a fancy latch usually found on mother of pearl cases.
